Olivia Colman to win Best Actress (+500)
2022 Academy Awards (94th Oscars) — Best Actress · The Action Network Sports Betting Podcast, 2022-03-22 · ·

“And Penelope Cruz for Parallel Mothers is bringing up the rear at 20 to one Ryan how do you feel about this one It pretty wide open I would say There been a different favorite every time I look almost One of the old betting truths of the Academy Awards is you want to pick people playing real characters, right? And in this, you have three real characters, Tammy Faye, Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball, and Kristen Stewart as the princess. And I feel like there's a world where those are going to kind of cancel each other out in their votes and olivia coleman who was wow such a force in that movie and such and has been on a run for the last few years having won a couple years ago for the favorite and then nominated last year for father uh i like her at those odds at plus 500. boy hitting the nail on the head i mean first off”

The Lost Daughter to win Best Adapted Screenplay (+800)
2022 Academy Awards (94th Oscars) — Best Adapted Screenplay · The Action Network Sports Betting Podcast, 2022-03-22 · ·

“at minus 175, The Power of the Dog at plus 135, The Lost Daughter at eight to one, Drive My Car at 16 to one, and Dune, which at 20 to one, I mean, somebody said it was confusing earlier, Like, yes, absolutely. Like technical, technical stalwart. It's Dunkirk. It's the Dunkirk of this year's awards. Like I had no idea what was happening. Everything was upside down and twisting around and there was all these superpowers and shit exploding. I had no idea what was going on, but I guess it's a technical masterpiece, I guess. But yeah, I mean, Colin, I think this is another one where we have to start debating COTA versus Power of the Dog. Yeah, I mean, technical masterpiece. That's something to say the year after 1917 was filmed. You really like you from 1917. You've watched this movie about eight times. And we're like two Oscars removed from it. Technically the greatest movie ever because it never stopped filming. Like it was one take. The whole movie was one take. I mean, for here, there's no hardcore trends to lean on with this category. other than nonfiction films are increasingly becoming more popular in this category and they're winning. And I love Jojo Rabbit more than anything. I love Black Klansman, Moonlight. I actually love that movie and I have no direct personal ties to what happened to Moonlight. I still love the story. So what you have to do is I think you have to find a nonfiction that touches on current social issues and that's the direction that you got to go with your bet. I would put down on Lost Daughter at eight to one. I'm not exactly sure the odds on Coda minus 175 are worth it. I mean, there's just, there's other things in here that, you know, can power of the dog we've already said is a better movie than Coda. So why would I put down on Coda minus 175 when I can take them to win best film at plus 110, right? So if you're looking at why in the world, You got to tell me the difference of why these odds are flipped for Coda and Power of the Dog here. So as a long shot, I would take The Lost Daughter. But I'm trying to like if I'm looking at Coda and Power of the Dog and best film, I would probably hedge it with the other side in this category. I agree with what you're saying. I don't feel like there is good value on either Coda or Power of the Dog. But I love Lost Daughter at eight to one. I'm going to put money down on that. Because you overlooked the fact that it's Maggie Gyllenhaal who wrote it.”

MJ Rodriguez to win Lead Actress Drama
73rd Primetime Emmy Awards — Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series · The Action Network Sports Betting Podcast, 2021-09-15 · ·

“So in the same vein, let's go to the outstanding lead actress in a drama series. So out of the field, we have a couple of nominees from the crown in treatment. Uzo Aduba. We got journey Smollett for Lovecraft country. And then finally, Elizabeth Moss for. Oh, she's the handmaid's tail MJ Rodriguez for pose. So what are you thinking at a. of this category. So Emma Corrin for playing Princess Diana and the crown comes in as a heavy favorite. She's minus 400, minus 500. It's hard to not want to bet on her. She was so good. She really does convince you that she's Princess Diana while watching the crown. However, the story line of MJ Rodriguez, I think might put her over the top. She's the first transgender actress to be nominated for an Emmy Award. She was a longtime Broadway star before she transitioned. She took a break from acting for a while, came back, and now she is nominated for Best Lead Actress for a show that is heavily nominated, hasn't won any awards yet. I think this could be the one that maybe puts them over the top. She's a plus 500 plus 600. You can find those odds on her. I'll go ahead and put some money on her as a long shot to win this.”

The Television Academy's 2021 Emmy winners list Olivia Colman, not MJ Rodriguez, as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
