Game Winner to win the Kentucky Derby (+600)
“So we will be at Belmont Park on Saturday to watch the Kentucky Derby there.
Come join us.
In the lap of luxury.
Let's talk about this race, Paul.
What are we seeing here?
We're a couple of days out.
The forecast in Louisville for Saturday is calling for rain right now.
Give me the horses that you like to win the race
and potentially some long shots to hit the board for some exotics.
Well, I truly think only five horses can win this race,
and it's Omaha Beach, game winner, improbable.
Roadster.
Roadster.
and i'm starting to go away from tacitus a little bit here's the thing about tacitus
tacitus is a horse that's an east coast based horse that we don't know what he's really faced
now omaha beach is a horse that has now beaten two baffert horses um i don't know how i would
put that into terms into another sport um but it's insanely hard to do to beat two baffert horses
that are going on the derby trail so you have three baffert horses and a mandela horse his main
jockey takes omaha beach um and mike smith when we had on the radio show and big factor by the way
big big factor i mean the road justify last year the triple crown guys guys ice in his veins um
i like game winner but if it rains uh i don't think they're gonna beat omaha beach i mean mike
has confirmed i mean he he basically told me and i'll tell it to everybody i i don't like hiding
tips i don like it he basically told me goes listen if it rains i if i don run second i running first or second he basically told me And the horse is a freak over the way And that the thing We seen if you watched this horse we gave him to you in the Arkansas Derby a couple of weeks ago as a winner
He won that race.
A couple of weeks before that, he wins at the Rebel Stakes.
Both of those were on sloppy tracks in the rain, and he looked outstanding in both.
Yes.
If it's raining at Churchill Downs, it would be foolish not to bet that horse.
Game winner?
Listen, game winner was the horse I was on up until the Arkansas Derby.
I've loved game winners.
The two-year-old champion, won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile out in Churchill Downs,
so he's won at Churchill before.
I just think Omaha Beach in this weather with Mike Smith is the horse to beat,
but I can't fault game winner.
I have a future on game winner.
I took him at 6-1 thinking I wasn't going to get better than that.”
Country House won the 2019 Kentucky Derby (via disqualification of Maximum Security); Game Winner finished 5th, so the futures bet lost.
Omaha Beach to win the Arkansas Derby
“Saturday, Arkansas Derby down at Oak Lawn.
Who you got?
Omaha Beach is going to be tough in there.
I know Improbable or the other Baffert.
Improbable can suck it I on Omaha Beach I with you too I like the way he held off game winner and I thought Game Winner might have hung a little bit in that race Mike Smith brother I not betting against Mike Smith in these races”
Omaha Beach won the 2019 Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park on April 13, 2019, so the Omaha Beach win bet cashes.
Kansas State ML
“Irvine?
Yes.
Over K-State.
That line has dropped like five points.
UC Irvine is going to the Sweet 16.
No, they're not.
No, they're not.
They're not winning this game.
Both of you.
Both of you can beat me right now.
I'll bet you right now.
They're not winning the game.
They're big.
The way Irvine does this, by the way, is if Oregon upsets Wisconsin,
they play Oregon in the round of 32, and then it's a much easier opponent to play.
Agreed, but they're not winning against Kansas State.
Oh, my God.
They are so winning against Kansas State.
No, they're not.
They got no shot.”
70-64 — UC Irvine upset Kansas State 70-64 on Mar 22, 2019, so Paul's Kansas State ML lost.
Pittsburgh Steelers to win AFC North
“Now, Paul, I heard you grunting a minute ago.
What are your thoughts on the AFC North?
Well, I mean, you look at Baltimore.
Okay, what's the Lamar Jackson's experiment?
Is that going to roll over to year two, or are teams going to figure that out quickly?
But Baltimore is still going to have a solid, solid defense.
So I'm with both of you guys.
I think Pittsburgh is the play in here.
um i i truly think since the antonio brown facebook thing a while ago he's just been a
guy in that locker room that yes he's been the best player but good riddance it was good riddance
with bell um midway through the season and now they can just sit there and play football instead
of worrying about all this other stuff and i get it cleveland did get better but again
losing has been a disease in cleveland and until they win my money is not going there and you know
something else to talk about with the Steelers is they've been a team that's been an underperforming”
The Baltimore Ravens won the 2019 AFC North with a 14-2 record; the Pittsburgh Steelers finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs, so Paul's Pittsburgh division future loses.
Kansas to win the Big 12 tournament
“I'll tell you what, though.
I do believe that Texas Tech and Kansas are the two best teams in that by far,
the two best teams in the Big 12.
I really do.
You have to understand, too, Kansas has got the number one strength of schedule.
They've played against the number one offenses, adjusted offenses in the nation.
So that's where I'll lean Kansas over Texas Tech.
I do think Texas Tech is good, very good.
But like I said, I'll take the plus money.
And I think Kansas will go far in the tournament.”
Iowa State 78, Kansas 66 — Iowa State beat Kansas 78-66 in the 2019 Big 12 tournament championship game; Kansas did not win, so Paul's Kansas tournament future loses.
Boston Red Sox over 95.5 wins (-115)
“All right, Paulie.
So you're going over on the Red Sox at 95.5.
They're minus 115 on both sides of that bet.”
The Red Sox finished the 2019 regular season 84-78, under the 95.5 win total, so the over loses. (Red Sox 84-78)
Colorado Rockies over 82.5 wins (-150)
“What's the next total you're interested in, Paulie?
I'm interested in the Manny Machado.
Everybody's going to go with maybe the Padres now, the overreaction.
What's the matter with the Colorado Rockies?
I know you like this.
I do.
I know you love this.
I do.
I mean, two years in a row, now they have made the playoffs.
And Bud Black, I think a lot of people are forgetting how good of a job Bud Black has really done there.
Bud Black's the last guy to have the Padres do anything when he managed them.
No, that's true.
And I know that they lose a couple guys here and there,
but they got some young guys that are up on the horizon.
You know, it was a shame for me that they didn't get to see
or we haven't got to see Kyle Freeland pitch in the playoffs
because I think a lot of people are going to see a young lefty
or haven't seen a young lefty that is very, very good.
And he's got better splits at Coors Field,
or at least he did last year than he did on the road.
You know, Garrett Hampson is a guy who's a –
and infielder was in the minor leagues that can steal close to 40 bases
that they're looking forward to.
Nolan Arenado is in his contract year.
Listen, to me, he's the best third baseman in baseball,
if not the best defensive third baseman or all around.
and he's going to be coveted by the Yankees.
I mean, I would think he's going to be in pinstripes next year.
The Rockies need to make a move this year and they clearly the second team especially with the Diamondbacks just unloading everybody I mean you right I do love this And the over is juiced to minus 150 as a result of it
The over-under is 82 and a half.”
The Rockies finished the 2019 regular season 71-91, well under the 82.5 win total, so the over loses. (Rockies 71-91)
Los Angeles Angels over 83.5 wins (-125)
“You've got an interesting take on the LA Angels. Their over-under is 83.5,
juiced a little bit to the over at minus 125. What do you think about the Angels?
Well, I think it's a sneaky team.
Obviously, they lose Socia, and now they get Brad Ausmus as their manager,
who a lot of people thought was going to be a very good manager,
and he did not have a good first time around,
considering he had some boys on that team with Verlander and Miguel Cabrera,
and Detroit could not win.
So I'm a little worried about that.
But I do think Trevor Cahill and Matt Harvey are sneaky pickups.
You know, Matt pitched pretty well after he left New York for Cincinnati.
Better than I thought he would.
You know, here's a guy that lost a rib.
I think a lot of people forget about that.
He lost a rib?
Yeah they had to take out a rib And like I said he pitched a little better Not for sexual reasons right No no
And he wasn't a malcontent in Cincinnati.
I really feel that he just wanted so out of New York that he sabotaged that whole situation.
And that it's just over with and he's back to pitching.
So those two guys to me I thought were big pickups.
you know uh griffin canning's a young guy at ucla that is a stud that went from a ball to triple a
last year they shut him down because he had so many innings at ucla he's going to be in that
rotation this year um i think he's another guy and guys young arms like that can be sneaky young
arms that that the league hasn't seen um and i think that the under and over on this team is good
enough uh that it's playable otani's going to be out for a while but you know it was more of a hype
and i think than anything else and and maybe that will put pitching aside and maybe he can come back
and be more of a dh than than worry about his pitching as of right now all right so you do
like the over on the angels right yeah i do okay i do all right so uh let's wrap up paulie with uh”
The Angels finished the 2019 regular season 72-90, under the 83.5 win total, so the over loses. (Angels 72-90)
Robert Morris -4
“the school robert morris okay they're minus four tonight uh hosting liu brooklyn
[38:05] so you're on robert morris for kk l o kk that's paulie's lock of the day”
62-49 — Robert Morris beat LIU Brooklyn 62-49 on Feb 21, 2019, covering the -4 spread comfortably.
Rams ML (+120)
“Rams money line plus 120”
NE 13, LAR 3 — Rams lost to the Patriots 3-13 in Super Bowl LIII; the Rams moneyline busts (ESPN box score).
Chiefs and Saints to be the Super Bowl LIII matchup (+165)
“show let get a couple uh a couple other things looking at kind of just some other props around around football and one baseball one We get to a second All right Exact matchup for the Superbowl
There's obviously four matchups.
The one I like the best guys,
and I can read them off.
New Orleans,
Kansas city plus one 65,
new England,
new Orleans,
two 60 LA,
Kansas city plus three 25 and new England and Los Angeles.
Plus four.
So I like Kansas city and the Rams at plus three 25.
Obviously, one home team, one road team win this weekend.
Plus, I have future bets on myself for New England and the Chiefs to win.
New England and the Saints to win their conferences,
so I can obviously hedge this here.
But I like the Rams and the Chiefs for this bet.
What do you guys like?
Yeah, I'm on the chalk here, Shorty.
I got the Chiefs and the Saints.
I think they're the two best teams.
I think they've been the two best teams all year.
I think that's what we're looking at.
Kansas City, New Orleans.
I'd love to see that matchup in that dome in Atlanta for the Super Bowl.
Paulie?
Yeah, I'm going to have to go chalk, too.
I did all take that bet last week, and I thought, you know what?
I think this is the play, Kansas City, in New Orleans,”
Super Bowl LIII was Patriots vs Rams (Patriots won 13-3); neither the Chiefs nor the Saints reached the Super Bowl, so the Chiefs+Saints exact-matchup future loses (ESPN box scores).
Army Black Knights ML (-170)
“Are you ready?
Paul, you're up.
College football.
The Army Black Knights.
I told you this last week.
Major Applewhite fires his defensive coordinator, first of all, after they lost to Memphis,
which is a similar, well, not similar running style.
But now they've got a new defensive coordinator that has to prepare for the triple option.
they're according to colin wilson 77th in the nation against the stuff in in stuff rate which
would be used in um but with ed oliver not on the field they were gave up almost close to 45 points
with him not on the field with him on the field the yards per carry go down almost three yards he
is not playing is going to get ready for the draft this line also um has gone from 67 to 60
because i just think that army is just going to possess the ball plus houston's i'm starting a
freshman quarterback they lost their quarterback i know he's got a couple weeks to prepare and got
a little bit better but i just think army is going to run all day and all night all over houston
I like this pick
and I'll add one more
thing in there as well. You mentioned
Houston's had a quarterback change
and they're not going to have the ball enough
in my opinion to score enough points
and we know that when
you play a team like Army
points are at a premium. I mean Army is 10-2
they're good for a reason. They score points
they hold the ball. They hold the ball against Oklahoma
for 45 minutes of that game
I think they're going to win
this game and they're going to win this game big
and they're only a three and a half point favorite so so they're you know their their
money lines minus 170 it's good value for the parlay”
ARMY 70, HOU 14 — Army beat Houston 70-14 in the 2018 Armed Forces Bowl; Army moneyline covers (Wikipedia, citing official bowl result).
Los Angeles Rams ML (-1600)
“Speaking of winning
You guys ready?
Los Angeles Rams
On the road
At the Arizona Cardinals
Yeah
They're gonna be at minus 1,000 too
They're 14, right?
I told you guys a long time ago
I'm an Arizona Cardinal fan
And you guys didn't believe me
They're the worst team in football
They are
Minus 1,600
god they're so bad
minus 1600 okay but i will say we running out of gimme yeah i i have a i have a couple options here for my last pick Do you guys want to add underdog into this equation for this weekend”
ARI 9, LAR 31 — Rams beat Cardinals 31-9; Los Angeles moneyline covers (ESPN box score).
BYU ML
“Pauly, what do you got?
I don't even know where to go.
Tough.
There a good college game I think that pretty See I like Northwestern though but that later Look at Friday at 4 p Paul
Friday at 4 p.m.?
Yeah.
That is Purdue at...
Oh, no, I'm backwards.
Toledo at FIU?
No, BYU-Western Machine.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, it's BYU.
not to make your third pick for you
yeah I mean like
um
they're minus 12 BYU
Western Michigan
I want to say that Colin
when I was looking at Colin
he got his really high confidence index
yeah he did he has 1
through 39 you got to go to the action
website Colin Wilson does his 1
through 39 confidence picks
um and he has them high
on the confidence BYU
he actually has them
slated as
I think it's 39th
I think his most confident pick
33 out of 39
33 I'm sorry
yeah so
minus 12 just to win the game
so now our parlay is
probably down to maybe breaking even
for the year if we hit this one
30 cents
we'll win 30 cents on this parlay
team's favorite by 10 or more
10 or more points in bowl games have won 73% of the time since 2005.
Yeah.
Or would you rather have a bowl?
It's probably too bold to pick.
I don't know.
Fascinating radio.
Well, my thing is I just think the Bears are just a better team,
but I know you've got to go to San Francisco,
but the San Francisco Chargers just have the Seattle Seahawks number.
They've outscored.
They've outgained them over 1,000 yards in the last two games they've played them.
So to me, I just think that ends.
Chad, how do you feel about the Bears going to San Francisco?
You're the Bears fan.
I think it's a weird spot.
Stay away.
Yeah I stay away Three favorites I don know Eddie Jackson is not going to be playing Correct I think he is a galvanizing force for that secondary
Coming off of winning the conference, I worry about the letdown spot.
What about New Orleans and Pittsburgh?
That's a weird line, don't you think so?
Yeah.
So we're going to BYU?
Yeah, we'll go with BYU.”
BYU 49, WMU 18 — BYU beat Western Michigan 49-18 in the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl; BYU moneyline covers (Wikipedia, citing official bowl result).
Baltimore Ravens ML (-370)
“okay my choice
okay so we're going money line thing
with these money lines
we'll go with the Ravens
on the money line
I was talking to Chad
off before we started the podcast
And to me, that felt like the most playoff game that we've seen this whole year.
Hard hitting.
Everything was contested.
The Baltimore Ravens defense contested everything that Mahomes threw at him.
And listen, it took a miracle.
It took him rolling to the right, throwing all the way back to his left,
and Tyreek Hill adjusting to that ball for them to win that game.
And Lamar Jackson made a mistake at the end of the game,
and then the missed field goal, and then it went into overtime, all that.
But Baltimore, the way they're running the ball, they're running the ball 66% of the time right now.
And they going to be able to control the football If you look at Jameis Winston and the way Tampa Bay he was already he was yelling at multiple people on the sideline yesterday because one guy missed the snapper
was in the wrong motion, and it was his fault after a pick. I just think this is an easy money
line. Plus, Baltimore needs to win this game. I get it was a tough loss, but they should have won
that game against Kansas City. They played their hearts out. Yeah, here's another thing that's
pretty remarkable. The Ravens
have this new offense with Lamar Jackson.
An offense that's unsustainable
in the future. It's just sustainable now
as kind of a gimmicky offense. I'll tell you why it's
unsustainable. They've now
played the last four weeks. They've played
the Bengals, in no particular
order. Bengals, Falcons,
Raiders, Chiefs. Those run
defenses, 28, 29,
31, and 32.
Now they've played Tampa, the
30th ranked rushing defense.
They got 198 rushing yards yesterday.
They had 200 each the previous three games.
So I'm with you, Paul.
I think the Ravens run the football again very well.
And their defense, we saw what their defense did yesterday to the Chiefs.
They were able to pressure Mahomes, give him looks he had not seen before.
And they did play well.
Look, the Chiefs were averaging 36.5 points per game and only scored 27.
So I think the Ravens do win this game.
They're favored by 8.5.
So it tells you that Vegas obviously thinks they should win this game.
I'm good with you here.
let me just point something out
Vegas doesn't think they're going to win this game
Vegas thinks the people think
the Ravens are going to win this game
and they can take advantage of that
it's called ownage
what
what
alright let's do the Ravens
what's their
no the money line is not on the app
yeah
Yeah, yeah.
Maybe their ownage just to cover.
It's a lot of points this late in the year.
Oh, I think it's at minus 370.”
BAL 20, TB 12 — Baltimore Ravens beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-12; Ravens moneyline won (ESPN box score).
Appalachian State ML
“And again, another line that's like 7, we'll take App State on the money line.”
Appalachian State 45, Middle Tennessee 13 — Appalachian State beat Middle Tennessee 45-13 in the 2018 New Orleans Bowl on Dec 15, 2018; App State moneyline won (Wikipedia summary of the game).
Los Angeles Rams ML
“Now, have the Philadelphia Eagles quit?
[35:06] I think they lose this game because their season's over and because the Rams are done.
[35:09] Their season's over, they're done.
[35:11] And Carson Wentz is getting tired of getting hit.
[35:13] So choose the Rams.
[35:15] I did.”
PHI 30, LAR 23 — Philadelphia Eagles beat Los Angeles Rams 30-23; Rams moneyline busted (ESPN box score).
New York Jets +9
“Okay.
Well, I'm just going to
go with the principal. You just can't
lay too many points. I mean, the Buffalo Bills
being a nine-point favorite is just too much for me.
So I'll play the Jets in somewhat of a revenge game, I guess,
considering the Jets got beat by the Bills 41-10
all the time they played.
So I'll take the nine points in Buffalo.”
NYJ 27, BUF 23 — Jets beat Bills 27-23 outright, covering the +9 line easily.
Indianapolis Colts +4.5
“So I like the Colts to plus the four and a half points.”
IND 24, HOU 21 — Colts beat Texans 24-21 outright, covering the +4.5 line.
Chicago Bears +3.5
“have our nine picks let's recap all nine of them i took baltimore plus seven against the chiefs i
took arizona plus two and a half uh at home against the lines this weekend and i ended with cleveland plus one against the Panthers That is in Cleveland as well Paula Duca Buffalo plus nine
Got a great number against the Jets.
You better hop on that now, people, before that changes.
They're at home against the New York Jets.
Second pick took the Colts plus four and a half at the Texas.
The Colts, obviously, losers.
Six to nothing yesterday.
Remarkable.
Getting some points here like this play.
And ends with the Bears at home.
Big game, Bears, Rams, Bears, plus three and a half.”
CHI 15, LAR 6 — Bears beat Rams 15-6 at home, winning by 9, covering the +3.5 line.
Atlanta Falcons +3
“All right So we in I guess Falcons plus two and a half All right I take No we got three We got Falcons plus three Plus three Okay Plus three Sorry Home dog”
BAL 26, ATL 16 — Ravens beat Falcons 26-16; Atlanta margin -10 fails the +3 line (ESPN final).
Georgia Bulldogs +13.5
“Let's go, Georgia, at plus 13 and a half right now.”
ALA 35, UGA 28 — Alabama beat Georgia 35-28 in the SEC Championship; Georgia margin -7 covers the +13.5 line (ESPN final).
Utah Utes +4.5
“I love Utah in this game so you can go ahead and cha it Plus four and a half right now”
WASH 10, UTAH 3 — Washington beat Utah 10-3 in the Pac-12 Championship; Utah margin -7 fails the +4.5 line (ESPN final).
Kansas City Chiefs ML
“Let's do Kansas City money line.”
KC 40, OAK 33 — Chiefs beat Raiders 40-33; moneyline on Kansas City covers (ESPN final).
Detroit Lions +3.5
“Matthew Stafford plus three and a half the Detroit Lions at home against the Bears”
CHI 23, DET 16 — Bears beat Lions 23-16 on Thanksgiving; Detroit margin -7 fails the +3.5 line (ESPN final).
Michigan Wolverines -4
“I have Oklahoma plus one against West Virginia I think they win that game outright Paulie you have Detroit Lions Thursday Plus three and a half You have Michigan Minus four In the big house Against Ohio State
I think they finally get this win.”
OSU 62, MICH 39 — Ohio State routed Michigan 62-39; Wolverines margin -23 fails the -4 line (ESPN final).
Memphis Tigers -7.5
“Memphis is minus seven and a half at Houston, and I'll book it for you.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Let me bet this right now.
Come on.
Seriously, you're only a favorite by seven and a half?
Paulie, I don't know if you should be booking bets on the air.
No, I'm saying book it.
Can I get a ka-ching?
It's my turn.
Thank you.
And I'm with Jeff on this.
I was waiting for the line to get up.
You know, SMU and Memphis somewhat played the same kind of game,
and they played a nip-and-tuck battle game,
which a lot of people thought was going to be high scoring.
I think they were over that game.
It was like 70-something.
It ended up being like 28.
It was a low scoring game, 28-16 or so.
But SMU put up over 570-something yards on offense on Houston.
Memphis can run all day.
Houston cannot stop the run.
And the best part about this is Houston just blasted a Tulane team,
so it will look even better.
And so they hang up the dreaded 7.5 line that you don't want to punch.
And I'm with Jeff here.
I was going to play.
This is going to be one of my picks.
I think Memphis is the real deal.”
MEM 52, HOU 31 — Memphis beat Houston 52-31; Tigers margin +21 covers the -7.5 line (ESPN final).
Navy Midshipmen -5
“I actually got one for you.
Oh, you're asking me for a pick?
All right, go ahead, Laduka.
You're up next.
I guess we're cashing.
We're cashing on the Chiefs plus two and a half.
Paul Laduka.
Navy Midshipmen.
Minus five.
against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.”
NAVY 37, TLSA 29 — Navy beat Tulsa 37-29; Midshipmen won by 8, covering the -5 line (ESPN box score).
Atlanta Falcons -3 (-125)
“Are you ready for my pick?
I am so ready for your pick, Leduca.
The Atlanta Falcons minus three.
because I'm sick and tired of the Marty Coopers
and the Fighting Dallas Cowboys.
I love this pick.
Now, I think Atlanta figured some...
But where are you getting minus three?
Because I see it at four and a half.
On our app right now, it's minus three.
We're probably looking at different books.
But okay, I'll take minus three.
The juice is at 125, though, the minus three.”
ATL 19, DAL 22 — Dallas beat Atlanta 22-19; Falcons lost outright as a -3 favorite, busting the spread (ESPN box score).
Baltimore Ravens -5.5
“Yeah, Baltimore is a five-and-a-half point favorite.
[33:21] Give me them, please.”
BAL 24, CIN 21 — Baltimore beat Cincinnati 24-21; Ravens won by only 3, failing to cover the -5.5 line (ESPN box score).
Arizona Cardinals -3.5
“Arizona Cardinals minus three and a half against the Oakland Raiders.”
ARI 21, OAK 23 — Oakland beat Arizona 23-21; Cardinals lost outright as a -3.5 favorite, busting the spread (ESPN box score).
Seattle Seahawks +11
“The Seahawks plus 11 against the Rams.”
LAR 36, SEA 31 — Rams beat Seahawks 36-31, a 5-point margin that covers Seahawks +11 (ESPN box score).
Arizona State Sun Devils -12.5
“And I think the 12.5 points is an easy lay here, and I think Arizona State's going to bury them.”
ASU 31, UCLA 28 — Arizona State beat UCLA 31-28, a 3-point margin that doesn't cover Arizona State -12.5, so this pick busts (ESPN box score).
Cincinnati Bengals +4
“All right.
My next pick is the one I know Black Jacks can hate.
Makes it even better.
Are you ready for it, Black Jacks?
Bengals plus four, huh?
No.
The Cincinnati Bengals.”
NO 51, CIN 14 — Saints beat Bengals 51-14; Bengals +4 needed to lose by less than 4, so this pick busts (ESPN box score).
Tennessee Titans +6
“Tennessee Titans plus six.”
DAL 14, TEN 28 — Titans beat Cowboys 28-14; Tennessee's +14 margin covers the +6 line (ESPN box score).
Baltimore Ravens -3
“I love the Ravens here, minus three, and a couple reasons why.”
BAL 16, PIT 23 — Steelers beat Ravens 23-16; Baltimore's -7 margin misses the -3 line (ESPN box score).
Denver Broncos +10
“The Denver Broncos plus 10”
KC 30, DEN 23 — Chiefs beat Broncos 30-23; Denver's -7 margin covers the +10 line (ESPN box score).
Under 52
“New Orleans Saints
at the Minnesota Vikings
under and over is 52
you are not taking the Saints
This is under.
I'm taking the under.”
MIN 20, NO 30 — Saints beat Vikings 30-20, combined 50 points; the under 52 covers (ESPN box score).

Do you want to hear my other pick, Millie Monster?
The Minnesota Vikings.
What's this number?
It's plus five and a half, I think.
Opened up at seven.
To me, it's the plus six and a half.
They just got blown out at home against the Bengals.
It's down to five and a half.
So the money is going towards the Vikings.
Okay.

It's still six and a half.

Washington State +4.5
“Paulie, you're up next.
Okay, with my next selection.
and it's i'm gonna piggyback on your boy and we're talking about teams that are a little bit
underappreciated and how about washington state now they're they're three you know
they won 41 to 19 you know they shut out san jose state and you you talk uh about schwarze
said that he lost a lot of units san jose state gave oregon some fits this weekend um sort of
stayed in that game like Oregon can never really just like spurt away from them at all
so to me this is a simple simple game of listen to our
Collin Wilson and playing an underrated team here in the Pac-12.
Now with Arizona State losing, we need teams out of the Pac-12 to start emerging.
And I think Washington State's the play here against SC, plus the points.
I have to pick another pick now, Paul, because this is going to be my third one.
I love this pick. I saw this right away.
You have a USC team that is not very good.
And I think there's a lot of questions now whether Clay Helton is a really good coach.
We saw he wasn't very good without Sam Darnold, but Sam Darnold plays for two years.
he's pretty good.
And now, you know, the first half against UNLV,
well, really, they were only up 19-14 entering the fourth quarter.
They scored three touchdowns or something in the fourth quarter,
and one that came easily.
They lost to Stanford, really, in no contest, 17-3.
And then Texas blew them out.
Texas is, what, a 6-16, a 7-16?
They're just, like, okay.
Texas might get run out of the gym by TCU this week.
They probably will.
So I think this is great.
You get the point.
And by the way, also, Paul, you're a West Coast guy.
You know this.
Friday night night games in the Pac-12 are funky, dude.
They're weird as can be.
And there's a lot of upsets on Friday night in the Pac-12 conference.
This feels very much like a Washington State could win this game outright.
I'm with both of you.
It was one of the games that I had sort of pegged on the board.
And I knew, Jeff, that you wanted to take it.
And then Paul just stole it from you.
As a guy who played in the Pac-12, is it stranger to play a game on a Friday night?
Is it harder to play a game on a Friday night?
The Pac-12 has had really weird scheduling quirks,
and they've fixed some of these issues that they've had on Friday nights.
They've always sent really good teams, not out of conference,
but to weird spots.
They put a ranked USC team up in Pullman or Washington.
It's a weird place to play.
You're playing Corvallis at Oregon State on the Friday night.
They just always have sent really good teams
at the weirdest places to play in the conference.
If you've ever been to Pullman or you've ever been to Corvallis,
like you kind of would understand the quirkiness of those places.
And it's, I'm just, it just is,
Pac-12 after dark, the games that start late at night,
they're just odd, man.
There's a lot of points.
They don't go as you think they're going to go.
It's just a weird conference out west sometimes when the lights are on.
All right, so now we're at Washington State plus four and a half against USC.
I agree.”
36-39 — USC beat Washington State 39-36; WSU +4.5 loses by only 3, covers (ESPN box score).
Indianapolis Colts +7
“Indianapolis Colts plus seven against the Philadelphia Eagles Here my logic Number one Andrew Luck”
16-20 — Eagles beat Colts 20-16; Indianapolis +7 loses by only 4, covers (ESPN box score).
Tennessee Titans +6.5
“and lay your six and a half points and lose all your money while Paula Duca bets the Tennessee Titans the Fighting Vrabels plus six and a half Book it Dano Give me a reason”
9-6 — Titans beat Jaguars 9-6 outright; Tennessee +6.5 covers easily (ESPN box score).
Missouri -7
“Missouri is going to blow out Purdue.
[11:30] Purdue is awful.
[11:32] But Missouri minus seven.”
MIZ 40, PUR 37 — Missouri beat Purdue 40-37; Missouri's margin of +3 fails to cover -7 (ESPN box score).
New Mexico -6
“We're going to go in New Mexico, minus six.”
UNM 42, NMSU 25 — New Mexico beat New Mexico State 42-25; New Mexico's margin +17 covers -6 (ESPN game page).
Under 44.5

[42:41] That's what you're going with?
[42:42] Yes.”
LAC 31, BUF 20 — Chargers beat Bills 31-20; combined 51 points goes over 44.5 (ESPN box score).
